國際聯青社國際協會的英文全名為"THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF Y'SMEN'S CLUBS"，又叫Y'S MEN INTERNATIONAL，由全世界的1422個社(CLUB)所組成的。（註：2001年3月止目前正在繼續不斷地增加中）。其宗旨為：

聯合各種信仰人士，基於耶穌基督教示及熱誠服務基督教青年會，互尊互愛促進友誼，共同努力熱心服務，以發展鼓勵及培養領導才能，為全人類建立美好社會。 

英文原文為：

The International Association of Y's Men's Clubs is a worldwidefellowship of persons of all faiths working together in mutual respectand affection, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and with acommon loyalty to the Young Men's Christian Association strivingthrough active service to develop, encourage and provide leadership to

build a better world for all mankind. 

國際協會的任務有二：

1.鼓勵、促進支持及維持全世界聯青社組織。

2.協調所有會員社之活動，並提供訓練材料及個人領導才能之發展。 

英文原文為：

The objectives of the Association are:

A.To encourage, promote, and foster organization and maintainance

of Y's Men's Clubs throughout the world.

B.To coordinate activities of all affiliating clubs and provide

training materials and personal leadership development.

       現在世界上已有1680個聯青社(Y'S MEN'SCLUB)，包括現在在台灣區域的29社均是國際協會的會員社(AFFILIATINGCLUBS)，在國際協會的國際憲章中明文規定，每個會員社有下列五項任務：

1.以個人服務及共同之努力，作為基督教青年會之服務社團。

2.支持其他公益機構。

3.在國內外事務上提倡公義，避免涉及黨派政治活動。

4.促進社員認知並積極參與有關宗教、公民、經濟、社會及國際事務。

5.培養良好友誼。

A.To primarily be service clubs of the YMCA, by personal serviceandunited effort.

B.To support other worthy organizations.

C.To encourage justice in civic and international affairs, abstainingalways from party politics.

D.To keep members informed on, and actively in religious, civic,economic, social and international matters.
